Kelowna-based startup Tonit Motorcycles has launched the full feature version of their motorcycle community app. The Tonit app helps riders connect with other riders, plan, track and share routes, post bike-related experiences, and stay safer on the road.
Tonit provides a powerful social platform for motorcyclists, where the need for community, planning and increased safety for riders has not been met. In addition to all the features built into the beta version of the app, the full feature app now has a private messaging system to allow riders to easily connect and plan rides together. New notifications also ensure no one misses an opportunity to get out and meet new riders and see what’s happening anywhere in the Tonit community, wherever they are in North America. As well, the addition of nearly 30 motorcycle styles are now available for users to select in their profile to help them quickly find riders with similar riding styles to meet up with.
Jason Lotoski, Founder and CEO of start-up Tonit, and a passionate motorcyclist himself, is excited for the full app launch. “We created Tonit to build a big community of people who wanted a convenient way to get together and share the things they love about motorcycling. This is an app for motorcyclists who just get it. They want everything motorcycle-related all in one place, and it’s here. We’re excited we were able to use all the user feedback and create something meaningful for riders.”
Tonit is a free download in the App Store and on Google Play. Future elements to be built in 2019 and beyond include a crash alert system and a buy and sell platform where riders can search for motorcycle parts, bikes, gear, and accessories. The app will also feature a real-time dashboard for track riders - displaying speed, lean, G’s pulled, break time and more - all shareable to friends, followers and the community.
